Tenured Harvard Professor Thinks A Paris Treaty Founded America

No, wait – it’s not just historians who are laughing about this insane woman. Thousands of Americans who actually know the basics of America’s founding are having a great laugh at this “professor’s” expense.

If you don’t know, leftists everywhere are freaking out that President Trump looked at the batsh** Paris Climate Treaty that Obama shoved us into a couple of years ago and said “Yeah, no. We’re not doing that.” Which is precisely what Trump should have done. The Paris Treaty doesn’t do a darn thing for the climate, but it sure is going to clean out America’s coffers so progressive countries in Europe and elsewhere can FEEEEEEEEL better about themselves.

We’ve already covered Hollywood’s complete and utter meltdown about this. But then you have *ahem* “academics” wandering by wanting to throw their two-cents into the stupidity. Like Joyce E. Chaplin, a tenured chair at Harvard, who tried to equate America’s alliance with France during the American Revolution to this stupid Paris Climate Agreement –

America was created by the international community?? IN WHAT UNIVERSE? America as a country was created by the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 in Philadelphia. The founders didn’t ask permission to become a country – they just did it. At the peril of their own lives and fortunes, mind you. And it took a war with Great Britain for the fledgling country to get its point across. But Great Britain was eventually forced to recognize the United States as its own country.

And I didn’t even need a fancy degree from Harvard to know that.

Oh, and Joyce is the chair of American Studies at Harvard. Just in case you didn’t already feel awful about the state of higher education in this country.
