Jim Carrey Is Actually DEFENDING Kathy Griffin

In the back of my mind, I figured that somebody would come to Kathy Griffin’s defense. Not necessarily because it’s the right thing to do or whatever, but because there had to be more batcrap crazy where that came from.

Why am I not surprised that it’s Jim Carrey? (Also – what in the WORLD is on his face?)

According to this, Jim Carrey has spoken out to defend Kathy Griffin’s gruesome picture of her holding up a bloodied “head” of Donald Trump. Something about comedians being the first line of defense against Donald “Literally Hitler” Trump. I guess –

“I think it is the job of a comedian to cross the line at all times — because that line is not real,” Carrey, 55, explained matter-of-factly to ET’s Leanne Aguilera on Wednesday night, just hours after Griffin was fired by CNN.

“If you step out into that spotlight and you’re doing the crazy things that [Trump is] doing,” Carrey continued, “we’re the last line of defense. And really, the comedians are the last voice of truth in this whole thing. It’s impossible to get away from it.”

Oh yes – because society needs celebrities and comedians to speak out against a duly elected president.

Think about this for a second: the left has pretty much declared war against Donald Trump. The president that America elected. As in, regular Americans across the country got up on Election Day, went to the ballot box, decided that they’d rather have Trump than Hillary running the country, and subsequently, Trump won the election.

But because that’s not who Hollywood wanted, somehow they have to “stand up” against him and the people who voted for him. Which is basically everyone who doesn’t live in New York or Los Angeles.

Yep. Hollywood hates the rest of the country. Just in case you’d forgotten.
