President Trump took to Twitter this morning to respond to CNN’s Chris Cuomo’s now-viral meltdown over being called “Fredo” – a reference to a weak character withing the iconic “Godfather” films.
I thought Chris was Fredo also. The truth hurts. Totally lost it! Low ratings @CNN https://t.co/yBpGjt4N1T

“I thought Chris was Fredo also,” President Trump commented while retweeting the video. “The truth hurts. Totally lost it! Low ratings @CNN.”
Shortly thereafter, President Trump followed up his Tweet with a second dig at the CNN host:
Would Chris Cuomo be given a Red Flag for his recent rant? Filthy language and a total loss of control. He shouldn’t be allowed to have any weapon. He’s nuts!

“Would Chris Cuomo be given a Red Flag for his recent rant? Filthy language and a total loss of control. He shouldn’t be allowed to have any weapon. He’s nuts!”
The tweet referenced recently discussed “Red Flag Laws,” which would allow law enforcement officers to confiscate guns from individuals deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.
The video, released Monday night, showed Cuomo engaging in boisterous, aggressive behavior after an unnamed man likened him to the weak, dumb brother in the “Godfather” films.

A top CNN PR official has since defended Cuomo’s actions:
Chris Cuomo defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup. We completely support him.
