AOC’s Heated Attack on Dan Crenshaw and Republicans Over 9/11 Is Full of Lies

WATCH: Ilhan Omar says to Raise Hell, Make People Uncomfortable

You had to know that if people were criticizing Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), that it wouldn’t be too long before Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) weighed in to defend her.

Ocasio-Cortez went after Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), the NY Post and the GOP for daring to criticize Omar for her 9/11 comments. Omar described the 9/11 radical Islamic terrorist attacks, the deadliest attack on US soil as “some people did something” with a wave of her hand.

Here she is first blaming the NY Post and the GOP, twisting it so somehow criticizing Omar’s comments is triggering but the actual remarks by Omar downplaying 9/11 are not.

She also attacked Crenshaw with a series of lies.

From Daily Wire:

The 29-year-old former bartender attacked Crenshaw, a decorated war hero, by suggesting that he was not fighting for the families of 9/11 victims and saying that he should “go do something” about terrorism.

As a Navy SEAL, Crenshaw lost his eye fighting terrorists in Afghanistan and earned 2 Bronze Stars (one with Valor), the Purple Heart, the Navy Commendation Medal with Valor, and other awards.

“You refuse to cosponsor the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund, yet have the audacity to drum resentment towards Ilhan w/completely out-of-context quotes,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “In 2018, right-wing extremists were behind almost ALL US domestic terrorist killings. Why don’t you go do something about that?”

There are 213 cosponsors of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act, along with 42 Republican lawmakers. It’s been around for years, Omar didn’t create it or draft it and it hasn’t even been voted on yet, so Ocasio-Cortez suggesting that Omar has actually done something or that Crenshaw has not supported it is simply untrue.

Jon Stewart who has advocated for Congress to pass funding for the Fund has praised the Trump administration for how they’ve administered it and helped 9/11 victims.

Crenshaw did not quote Omar out of context, he quoted what Omar said in the context in which she said it.

Meanwhile, while Crenshaw was fighting to help take out the terrorists who were actually behind 9/11, Ocasio-Cortez was tending bar and Omar was pleading on behalf of terrorists. She actually wrote a letter to a judge who was about to sentence several defendants for trying to join ISIS arguing for a shorter sentence, asking for  “compassion” and a “restorative approach to justice.”

Meanwhile since coming into office, Omar has constantly attacked the Department of Homeland Security, the very people responsible for protecting the country. She even called for defunding them.

Here’s one tweet showing that:
