Sarah Sanders: Comey, Clapper, Brennan, FBI Should Be Dragged Before Congress for Trying to Take Down President with ‘Absurd Lie’

Now that the Mueller investigation is over and the Trump team has been vindicated, Republicans are pushing to look at “the other side of the story,” as Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called it.

And White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was not shy about calling out who she thought needed to be questioned.

From Fox News:

If Democrats want to find evidence of Russian collusion, they need to investigate the Obama administration because that’s where it happened, according to White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.

“If they want to look at what really happened and what the failures of 2016 were, they need to look inside the Obama Administration because that’s where they took place,” Sanders told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” Monday morning.

Democrats should be embarrassed, Sanders charged, for their “malicious lie that the president was some sort of foreign agent in working with the Russian government in order to win the election, when, really, all of the interference between Russia and the election, took place under the Obama administration.

“Let’s not forget that [James] Clapper and [James] Comey and [John] Brennan were the ones leading the intelligence community when these things took place and that Obama was the president at that time,” she said.

“They knew about it. They did nothing to stop it, and I think they need to be very careful about pushing down that road.”

She named James Comey, James Clapper, John Brennan and others at the FBI as some who should be hauled before Congress.

Sanders said it was disgraceful that it took two years to get this place after spending 25 million on a “witch-hunt that should never have taken place in the first place.”

She also called out the media for its attempt to take down Trump. She noted that there were 8500 articles just between the New York Times, Washington Post, MSNBC and CNN on the Russia collusion hoax.

She agreed with Sen. Lindsey Graham that former FBI Director James Comey “has a lot of explaining to do.”

Earlier in the day, Savannah Guthrie had asked Sanders if she thought Trump owed Robert Mueller an apology for criticizing the investigation.

“I think Democrats and the liberal media owe the president and they owe the American people an apology,” Sanders replied.
