Lindsey Graham Lights It Up: Will Have ‘Full-Scale’ Probe Into Dem Actions On Kavanaugh Allegations

On Sunday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) put Democrats on blast, pledging to launch a “full scale” probe into how the Democrats handled the sexual misconduct allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

From Washington Examiner:

“We’re going to do a wholesale, full-scale investigation of what I think was a despicable process to deter it from happening again,” Graham said during an interview on ABC News’ “This Week.”

“The FBI will do a supplemental background investigation, then I’m going to call for an investigation of what happened in this committee. Who betrayed Dr. Ford’s trust? Who in Feinstein’s office recommended Katz as a lawyer? Why did Ms. Ford not know that the committee was willing to go to California?” Graham continued, referring to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and Debra Katz, one of Ford’s attorneys who has been involved in Democratic politics in the past.

Graham acknowledged Feinstein’s denial of leaking but he said obviously whoever leaked it had a political motive.

“All I can tell you is it came from somebody with a political motive,” Graham said. “No friend would do this to Dr. Ford.”

Graham also appeared on Fox with Maria Bartiromo to make the same points.

Gotta say loving Lindsey Graham. So nice to finally have some Republicans fighting back against the despicable things the Democrats have been doing.

Only Feinstein and her staff, Rep Anna Eshoo and her staff and Ford had the letter. So there are a limited number of suspects for who leaked it to The Intercept.

The reporter there who wrote the story on the letter Ryan Grim says that he didn’t get it from Feinstein’s staff. But even if that were true, they likely wouldn’t have leaked it directly. As one saw in the case of James Comey, he leaked through a friend so there was a buffer so he could deny leaking it to the media directly.

Graham can add a few more questions into his probe.

Who were the Senate Democrats who approached Deborah Ramirez and solicited her to come forward, according to the account of Ronan Farrow? Did that enter into her decision to suddenly conclude it was Kavanaugh when she wasn’t sure even a week before?

And Julie Swetnick was previously represented by Debra Katz. Was that a coincidence or was there more to it?

And someone needs to take a look at what is being said here:

Notice how Rachel Mitchell gets that Ford may just have said something very consequential and tries pinning her down further, suddenly Ford’s attorneys get it too and try to cut off further questions.

Pin down the emails and clarify what’s being said there – is she saying that Feinstein sat on the letter to hold it until the hearing?

This delay and deceit game of the Democrats has enraged Republicans like nothing in recent memory and you couldn’t ask for a more charged up electorate right now. Democrats with all their machinations may have just injured their midterm chances.
