It was a shame to watch ABC cut Roseanne for an offensive tweet they didn’t like when so many liberal actors have been able to say whatever they want for so many years.
You can call Trump Hitler. Call people white supremacists. Be as vulgar as possible. You can do anything if you are on the left (for the most part) but the second someone who supports Trump steps out of line they are gone.
And also, let’s be real. Roseanne claims she didn’t know Valerie Jarrett was black. That’s definitely reasonable. She also explained that race had nothing to do with the joke and it’s a little weird that she would just all of a sudden become racist after decades in the public eye without a problem.
But, whatever. She’s out and ABC seems to think they can keep doing a show about the Conner family without Roseanne. No way that works out.
However, Roseanne’s career might not be over like people think.
In fact, she apparently has multiple offers on the table.
From BizPac Review:
Amid reports that ABC is going ahead with a spinoff of “Roseanne” without the hit show’s namesake, Roseanne Barr, the embattled comedian said in a recent interview that she has received offers to return to television.
Barr told friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach in a new podcast she is “very excited” over an offer that she is now considering.
“Inside every bad thing is a good thing waiting to happen,” Barr told Rabbi Boteach. “And I feel very excited because I have already been offered so many things and I almost already accepted one really good offer to go back on TV and I might do it.”
