CNN’s Don Lemon Attacks Black Pastor Over Meeting With Trump

Erin Evans

The other day, I told you about how President Trump called Don Lemon the “dumbest man on television,” and how the left predictably freaked out and screamed racism.

Since then, Lemon has done little to prove Trump’s statement wrong – at least, he’s done little to prove that he’s a respectable journalist, rather than a partisan hack.

Instead, the CNN host attacked Reverend Bill Owens, the founder of the Coalition of African American Pastors, after the reverend met with President Trump on Monday.

In the interview, Lemon continually tries to get Owens to agree that Trump is racist.  When Owens won’t take the bait, Lemon begins to attack the pastor, claiming that equated Obama’s support for same-sex marriage with support for child molestation.  Owens continues to stand his ground, refuting Lemon’s claims.

When Lemon says Trump “consistently attacks black and brown elected leaders,” Owens correctly points out that Trump attacks pretty much everyone, regardless of skin color.

“He attacks who he will.  He’s his own man.  I can’t dictate what he should or shouldn’t do.” Owens said.  “But he does not just attack black people.  He attacks anybody and you know it.”

Lemon then suggests Owens condones Trump’s behavior, which Owens patiently denies.

Lemon’s behavior throughout the interview is just gross, especially from someone who is supposed to be an objective journalist.

Watch the entire interview here:

Notice that subtle chyron change at 2:51?  It went from “POTUS meets with African American faith leaders in the wake of his attacks against leaders of color” to “Controversial African American Pastor Meets with President.”  Because Owens was the problem with this interview.

Another excellent example of unbiased journalist from CNN.
