The Olympic Opening Ceremony Was…Interesting?

Let me start out by saying, I have been to France a handful of times. Each time I go to France there is a stop in Paris, and every time I go to Paris I love it more than the time before. I have had some really great experiences in Paris, and I adore the city. With that being said, I have some thoughts on the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Everything was very French. Some of it I got the vision, but the execution just wasn’t there. But some of it, all I could think was WT actual F!? For instance, Lady Gaga opening with a Cabaret type number, I got the vision, but the execution just wasn’t quite there for me. The menage a troi? WTF.

I get it, it’s French. French culture is not the same as here in the US. But there were some moments that took it way too far, and were for sure not family friendly. There was the weird Marie Antoinette severed heads.

There was a drag fashion show, complete with a queen with a beard, and children. Because of course there were children.

But the worst was when the drag queens reenacted the Last Supper.

Inappropriate, and completely unnecessary. People were not happy about it, and rightly so.

This world is a dark and evil place. It’s sad when we can’t even count on the Olympics to be family friendly.

The only parts of the Olympics opening ceremony I saw was Celine Dion singing and the launch of a balloon. I had no idea how wretched it’d became. I like the tweet telling France not to call us if they’re attacked.😈
