Iceland Hilariously Parodies Zuckerberg’s Meta Video

OPINION | This article contains political commentary which reflects the author's opinion.

By now, you’ve probably seen and tried very hard to unsee Mark Zuckerberg’s excruciatingly alienesque video introduction to the Metaverse, whatever the f*ck that is. I prefer to pretend it doesn’t exist, so instead of addressing it, I’m here to share a promotional video from Inspired by Iceland’s Twitter account, in which “Zack Mossbergson” introduces viewers to the Icelandverse.

“Welcome to this very natural setting,” he begins in his irresistibly charming Icelandic accent. (They’re so CUTE OKAY?!)

The Chief Visionary Officer highlights some of the most amazing features of the Icelandverse, including but not limited to:

  • Water (that’s wet)
  • Humans (confirmed real)
  • Moss (that you can look at, but please don’t touch it’s very delicate)
  • Volcanic rocks (that you can caress)

This is a revolution. I’m sold. See y’all in Seltjarnarnes.
