A Stanford pediatrician has been arrested on charges for allegedly sending inappropriate images to a minor and attempting to seduce her, according to Fox News.
Dr. Dylan O’Connor, 33, practices at Stanford’s Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, California.
O’Connor was busted in a sting operation in Redwood City.
Redwood City police began investigating O’Connor following a tip that they received from another law enforcement agency unit that monitors the illegal exchange of images involving children.
O’Connor has been accused of attempting to meet up with the young girl to have sex with her.
The pediatrician was arrested by police once he arrived. He’s charged with sending harmful material to a juvenile and traveling to meet a minor for lewd purposes.
Police are investigating if there are more victims.
“These are serious criminal charges, which we understand are still under investigation by law enforcement, so we are unable to comment further at this time,” said a Stanford Medicine spokeswoman.
O’Connor has been placed on unpaid administrative leave.
