Popular conservative personality Candace Owens just came forward with a big announcement about running for president.
“I love America,” Owens posted on Twitter over the weekend. “Thinking about running for President.”
Candace Owens, who turns 32-years-old in April, helped co-found the BLEXIT movement.
She would meet the age requirement to run for president.
Owens is a Connecticut native who rose to fame with her outspoken political commentary and opposition to bullying.
More from Daily Wire:
Hours following Owens’ tease at a run for POTUS, the commentator, who has become an increasingly prominent voice on the right, emphasized that it’s “an important time in our country,” urging Republicans to “[s]peak up.”
“If you’re smarter than a 5th grader, you realize that the radical Left is trying to brainwash the world into believing January 6th was similar to 9/11 or Pearl Harbor,” Owens said, referring to the breach of the U.S. Capitol led by far-right election protesters. “Absurd. Just a sloppy attempt to justify censoring, surveilling & treating half our country like terrorists.”
“Every good dictator needs a ‘reason’ and a ‘justification’ for locking up, censoring, and criminalizing all acts of political dissent,” she said. “That is why I will #NeverForgetJanury6th Because it’s become a justification for evil against half our country who remain innocent.”
Following Owen’s announcement about considering running, two-time MLB World Series champ Aubrey Huff already volunteered to be her vice president.
Owens has had several public feuds with big-name Democrats, along with Hollywood celebrities.
Rapper Cardi B and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are among some of the individuals she has had spats with.
Ocasio-Cortez is around the same age as Owens, and would also meet the age requirement to run for president in 2024.
