Simon & Schuster Cancels Josh Hawley’s Book After He Objects To Electoral College Vote

Breitbart is reporting Simon & Schuster has cancelled Senator Josh Hawley’s (R-MO) book, The Tyranny of Big Tech, which was slated for publication in June. What caused this cancellation? Well, Simon & Schuster apparently did not like Senator Hawley objecting to the certification of the Electoral College vote and standing up for election integrity.

“We did not come to this decision lightly,” Simon & Schuster said in a statement, the New York Times reported.

“As a publisher it will always be our mission to amplify a variety of voices and viewpoints: At the same time we take seriously our larger public responsibility as citizens, and cannot support Senator Hawley after his role in what became a dangerous threat.”

What planet do these people live on? They are doing the opposite of what they claim they value. They are actively suppressing a variety of voices and viewpoints and punishing a sitting U.S. Senator for exercising his constitutional duties. No Democrats were punished like this in 2016 when they objected to President Donald Trump. No Democrats have been punished for calling Trump an illegitimate president and trying to undermine and remove him his entire presidency.

But by now we all recognize, we live under two sets of rules in this country. There is a set of rules for liberals and a whole different set of rules for conservatives.

What has happened to our country? There is suppression of thought and speech around every corner. I saw this tweet from Pastor Douglas Wilson this morning and it’s sentiment hit me like a ton of bricks.

With everything we’ve seen in the past four years and all the suppression of speech that has and is currently taking place, this rings 100% true. The leftists will stop at noting to stop what they believe is hate. I do trust they believe their cause is righteous and therefore, they will stop at nothing in their fight against “hate”.

Senator Hawley issued the following statement in response to the cancellation.

As soon as Senator Hawley’s book is published somewhere, I will be sure to buy a copy. Let’s make his book a bestseller that Simon and Schuster regrets not publishing.
