Burger King Launches New Ad Campaign Called ‘Love Conquers All’ That Depicts Mascot in Gay Kiss With Ronald McDonald [Opinion]

Is it really necessary to gay-ify everything?

I mean, both Burger King and McDonald’s have trash food, so I suppose the pair makes sense… perhaps the Chik-Fil-A cow would have been a step too far. But, fast food? Really?

Finland decided to portray this deep kiss between the pair with the slogan ‘Love Conquers All’ written in English. Oh, and if you look closely, their kissing faces make the shape of a heart – cute.

This image is stained in my brain forever and I don’t think any amount of mental bleach can help me here.

The gay-ness doesn’t gross me out (even though that finger near Ronald’s mouth is suspect). However, it’s disappointing at best because it’s almost the equivalent of having SpongeBob and Patrick make out …in the name of love. BARF. Thanks for ruining my childhood.

Breitbart reported:

The campaign appears to be in aid of Helsinki Pride Week, which was moved to September from its usual slot due to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

It also appears to have been influenced by the race politics of the Black Lives Matter movement, featuring the new version of the Pride flag topped with a black and brown stripe in order to “represent” non-white non-heterosexuals specifically.

“Burger King has always stood for equality, love and everyone’s right to be just the way they are,” claimed the burger-selling franchise’s brand manager in Finland, Kaisa Kasila.

“The only instance where it might not seem so, is when we’re bantering with our competitor. But we want to be clear – it all stems from the respect we have for them. And we know McDonald’s stands for the values we stand for, too,” Kasila added.

“We thought, what a better way to convey our values than by portraying an all-encompassing kiss between Burger King and McDonald. We wanted to show that in the end, love always wins.”

They could’ve just had the Burger King mascot have a freaking queen. Again, not against the gays, but it would make more sense given the fact that he’s a king and McDonald’s, well, has nothing to do with Burger King. Just a thought. Don’t hate me.
