Viral Video Of Doctors Claiming COVID-19 Cure Censored By Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube

A viral video was making the rounds on Facebook and Twitter yesterday until it was censored and taken down. The video showed a press conference of a group called America’s Frontline Doctors who claimed that hydroxychloroquine was key to fighting COVID-19.

Breitbart livestreamed the press conference and you can still access the entire video on their website.

Facebook has removed a video posted by Breitbart News earlier today, which was the top-performing Facebook post in the world Monday afternoon, of a press conference in D.C. held by the group America’s Frontline Doctors and organized and sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots. The press conference featured Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) and frontline doctors sharing their views and opinions on coronavirus and the medical response to the pandemic. YouTube (which is owned by Google) and Twitter subsequently removed footage of the press conference as well.

The video accumulated over 17 million views during the eight hours it was hosted on Facebook, with over 185,000 concurrent viewers.

The highlight of the video was an impassioned plea from Dr. Stella Immanuel. She claims to have successfully treated more than 350 COVID-19 patients. She said there is a cure.

From Rev:

For the past few months, after taking care of over 350 patients, we’ve not lost one. Not a diabetic, not a [sic] somebody with high blood pressure, not somebody who [has] asthma, not an old person. We’ve not lost one patient. And on top of that, I’ve put myself, my staff, and many doctors that I know on hydroxychloroquine for prevention, because by the very mechanism of action, it works early and as a prophylaxis. We see patients, 10 to 15 COVID patients, everyday. We give them breathing treatments. We only wear surgical mask[s]. None of us has gotten sick. It works.

So right now, I came here to Washington DC to say, America, nobody needs to die.

I’m a true testimony. So I came here to Washington DC to tell America nobody needs to get sick. This virus has a cure. It is called hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and Zithromax. I know you people want to talk about a mask. Hello? You don’t need mask. There is a cure. I know they don’t want to open schools. No, you don’t need people to be locked down. There is prevention and there is a cure.

Dr. Immanuel is a legit doctor. All the doctors in the video appear to be legitimate medical doctors. That did not stop CNBC from reporting on the event like they were not.

The video was created by right-wing media outlet Breitbart. It depicts a group of people dressed in white lab coats — who call themselves “America’s Frontline Doctors” — staging a press conference outside the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.

First, what press conference isn’t “staged”? These “people” in “white lab coats” are doctors.

More from Breitbart:

The event, hosted by the organization America’s Frontline Doctors, a group founded by Dr. Simone Gold, a board-certified physician and attorney, and made up of medical doctors, came together to address what the group calls a “massive disinformation campaign” about the coronavirus. Norman also spoke at the event.

What is the alleged reason for the removal of the video?

“We’ve removed this video for sharing false information about cures and treatments for COVID-19,” a Facebook company spokesman, Andy Stone, told Breitbart News. The company did not specify what portion of the video it ruled to be “false information,” who it consulted to make that ruling, and on what basis it was made.

The MSM decided it was a false video, that’s for sure. Here is a sampling of headlines.

CNN: “Facebook, Twitter and YouTube scrub platforms of viral video making false coronavirus claims”

CNBC: “Facebook, Twitter pull ‘false’ coronavirus video after it goes viral”

The Washington Post: “Facebook deleted a viral video full of false coronavirus claims. Then Trump shared it on Twitter.”

The Daily Beast: “Trump Pushes Fake COVID Cure From Fringe Doctors, Banned by Facebook”

The effectiveness or lack of effectiveness of hydroxy in fighting COVID-19 is by no means settled science. The media is misleading everyone by acting like it is.

I have NO IDEA whether this group of doctors’ claims are true or false. What I do know is that they have a right to state their medical opinion and we (should) have a right to hear it and decide for ourselves. If I had COVID-19, I’d sure want to try this drug that has been around for a long time. The risk seems low, but the potential upside high.

Those suffering from severe TDS, like Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg, should not be the arbiters of truth. If another group of doctors doesn’t like what America’s Frontline Doctors are saying, they can “stage” their own press conference and state their opinions.

This Twitter thread below raises some questions about the trustworthiness of the doctors in the group. That is FINE. This is part of a free and open debate. Censoring a video is NOT.
