Bernie Supporter At NH Rally Explains Democratic Socialism

OPINION | This article contains political commentary which reflects the author's opinion.

Brainwashing at its finest.

Breitbart reported:

A member of the Democratic Socialists of America explained the philosophy of “democratic socialism” to Breitbart News at the victory rally for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) as the results of the New Hampshire primary began to arrive.

So I guess we should just remove all pockets from our jackets and pants while we’re at it, since socialists wouldn’t keep their hands in their own anyways.

More from Breitbart:

Evan S. of Massachusetts had come to New Hampshire to canvas for Sanders. They — and they noted that “they/them” is their preferred pronoun, or “she” if absolutely necessary.

Perfect, opening the conversation with delusion. This should be good.

This individual stated, “I think what people really respond to is big programs that generate wins and change their lives. And I think as Bernie’s movement starts to put the pressure to really improve things for people — these high-deductible health plans, going away; this medical debt that ruining people’s lives, going away […] he’ll use the presidency to build a movement of ordinary people to change things for themselves, right — just like Eugene Debs did at the turn of the century.”

Eugene Debs was five times the candidate of the Socialist Party for President of the US from 1900-1920, and stated, “my country is the earth and I am a citizen of the world.”

Ooof. With Trump being president, Debs is probably turning in his grave.

The interviewee didn’t do thorough research, or perhaps just wanted to sound smart by referencing another socialist from long ago, but Debs definitely only won 6% of the vote in 1912. So, go on, please tell us how effective a socialist platform is for the American people.

Here’s the real popular opinion from democratic socialists – ‘I want people to pay my bills, oh, and throw in all the irresponsible purchases I made and was never planning to pay back anyways.’
