Pretty sure ‘abortion after birth’ is simply murder, but what do I know.
A rose by any other name is still a rose.
He literally said, verbatim –
“Think, think about the situation, if this is a late-term situation, then by definition it’s one where a woman was expecting to carry the pregnancy to term, then she gets the most perhaps devastating news of her life,” Buttigieg responded. “We’re talking about families that that may have picked out a name, may be assembling a crib, and they learn something excruciating and are faced with this terrible choice, and I don’t know what to tell them morally about what they should do; I just know that I trust her and her decision medically or morally isn’t gonna be any better because the government is commanding her to do it in a certain way.”
First of all, I don’t trust anyone who chooses not to stand strong for their convictions, or attempts to take a stance on something that is so controversial without being certain in their values.
Also, gotta love how he chooses not to define what is ‘excruciating news.’
He may as well have said, “Well, when things are bad, ya gotta do whatcha gotta do!” It would’ve had the same effect.
… if you’re knocking on labor’s door, or are simply late-term, what other devastating news could happen if it isn’t some sort of fatal situation for the mother/child?
Usually, NOT ALWAYS, but usually the extensive testing and screenings leading up to the time of labor will reveal any complications or fatal birth defects (for mother or child).
Otherwise, the mother would have to give birth to her stillborn child… not kill it voluntarily.

Whoa. Buttigieg refuses to clarify to @MeghanMcCain that he does NOT support abortion after birth.
