Dick Morris, an ex-Bill Clinton advisor, discussed a possible Hillary 2020 run for president on Sunday. He insinuated that if the timing were better and she felt confident that the #metoo movement would accept her, she would run.
He explained during the interview:
“My feeling is that she wants to… She feels entitled to do it. She feels compelled to do it. She feels that God put her on the Earth to do it, but she’s hesitant because she realizes the timing is bad.”
As the #metoo movement has swiveled the story from focusing on the perpetrator to looking at the victims, Hillary could be under fire for covering up her husband’s actions. Morris himself admitted that Hillary “had private investigators digging up dirt on the women that her husband had victimized to keep them silent.”
I would honestly be surprised that the movement hasn’t gone after her yet, except that she is Hillary Clinton. The “Her” of the last presidential election.
Right now, with 12 candidates vying for stage time during the debates, there isn’t room for Clinton. However, things could change if Biden dropped out of the race. Many democrats, not wanting to elect a radical like Warren or Bernie, would look for a moderate to become the nominee. You can have no doubt that Hillary Clinton would want to be that candidate.
I mean, apparently “God put her on the Earth” to be President. What mere mortal could stand against that? Maybe *cough, cough* all the people who voted against her in 2016 who will continue to vote against her in 2020 – if it comes to that.
