Two New Yorkers confronted Senator Rand Paul while he was having lunch at a California restaurant on Friday. A brief video of the exchange has, of course, been posted on Twitter.

That woman seems unhinged: “You just ran into two people from New York, kiddo, and we’re not putting up with your Republican bullshit.”
Don’t tell her, but there are actually a lot of Republicans in New York. New York might be a blue state, but over 2.8 million New Yorkers voted for Donald Trump in 2016. And I bet a lot of them will vote for him again in 2020.
This confrontation happened the same day Project Veritas released an audio clip of CNN’s political director David Chalian urging the news team to confront Republican senators:
“I think we have to be in their faces of all 53 Republican senators on as much of a daily basis as possible, whether they’re at home or on the hill, asking each one of them, is it okay for the President of the United States to apply pressure to a foreign country in hopes of getting a domestic political opponent investigated?” Chalian says.
Senator Paul is right: the left blames incivility on the right and Donald Trump, but we continue to see these public confrontations going one way: angry leftists against conservatives just going about their days.
