Trey Gowdy to Join Trump’s Anti-Impeachment Legal Team

OPINION | This article contains political commentary which reflects the author's opinion.

IF this is true (and I think it is!), will somebody pinch me!?  For much of Tuesday afternoon, there were numerous conflicting reports, but I do believe I’M. ACTUALLY. TYPING. THESE. WORDS.

PLOT. TWIST. Trey “Don’t Bullsh*t Me” Gowdy, one of America’s most honorable patriots, has joined the Trump legal team.  According to Bloomberg: “Donald Trump has enlisted former Representative Trey Gowdy to work with the White House team combating the U.S. House’s impeachment inquiry into the president, people familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.” Read the full article here.

“Gowdy rose to prominence leading a special House panel investigating the attacks on an American diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, while Hillary Clinton was secretary of State.”

“I am not surprised that the President of the United States called this a phony scandal. I’m not surprised that Secretary Clinton asked, “What difference does it make?” I’m not even surprised that Jay Carney said that Benghazi happened ‘a long time ago.’ I’m just surprised at how many people bought it.” — Trey Gowdy

“As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, Gowdy also helped manage the panel’s investigation into Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election.”

Watch this: “Whatever you’ve got, finish it the hell up…”— Trey Gowdy

Over the past decade, I’ve found myself racing to get to a screen to watch every one of Gowdy’s epic statements made, in the name of achieving justice.  And now, I, for one, will be popping some popcorn to prepare for what’s next. I cannot predict the future, but I do know this, for sure: Trey Gowdy will continue fighting the good fight FOR. ALL. AMERICANS.
“Facts are neither Republican nor Democrat.”— Trey Gowdy
“The manner in which we get places matters, and in politics too often winning is the only thing that matters. Losing is not the worst thing in the world. Not knowing what you believe and not caring enough about it to fight for it?

That’s the worst thing in the world.” — Trey Gowdy

Dear Mr. Gowdy, 5:5! If you’re reading this, GO GET ‘EM! And know that many of us will have our flags out in honor of you. Thanks in advance for your service.
