There’s A Resolution To Kick Nancy Pelosi Out Of The House. All In Favor?

OPINION | This article contains political commentary which reflects the author's opinion.

In the wake of all the recent impeachment hullabaloo, Rep. Ralph Abraham, R-LA 5th District, today introduced a resolution to kick Nancy Pelosi out of the Speakers’ Office – and straight out of the House.

You can read his entire resolution here. It’ll only take a second – I’ll just be chilling out, humming “Wouldn’t It Be Nice.”

Believe it or not, his tweet announcing the resolution might be longer than the document itself:

The following is an excerpt from Abraham’s official statement, which covers his utter disdain for Pelosi’s antics a bit more in depth:

“Nancy Pelosi’s vicious crusade against our lawfully-elected President is nothing more than a politically-motivated witch hunt and it must be stopped. She has disgraced the people’s House and weaponized the Speaker’s gavel for her party’s political gain.”

Okay. It’s truth time.

Is anybody really going to tell Nancy – in an official capacity, of course – to shut the hell up and go on home? No. Probably not. Nobody expects Abraham’s resolution to gain any traction. It’s mostly just an indication of how fed-up Republicans are with the antics of their colleagues in the Democratic-controlled House.

Likewise, is anybody really going to full-on impeach President Trump? Also highly unlikely. I mean, we didn’t ditch the last guy who sat in the Oval Office, even though we had a plethora of impeachable offenses from which to choose.

An eight-page White House letter to Pelosi calls the latest impeachment inquiry “highly partisan” and “unconstitutional.” Well…yeah. But maybe it’s all just a diversion certain wily Democrats have designed to mislead and distract voters until 2020. Hint: They have yet to call for an actual vote on impeachment. You know: The one they introduced and insist on bringing up at every turn.

Newsflash to whom it may concern: President Trump may not be the leader you voted for; or, he may not be making decisions of which you approve. Pulling out of Syria comes to mind. But, like it or not, the fact of the matter is this: He is the current President of the United States.

So get united, already. Good grief, people.
