WATCH: Vegan diet the solution to a healthier America

In case you didn’t have enough reasons to believe that society is going down the tubes at warp speed…

Meet Sonalee Rashatwar. She’s “The Fat Sex Therapist” who recently spoke at St. Olaf College, and dang. She has issues.

“I truly believe that a child cannot consent to being on a diet the same way a child cannot consent to having sex,” she said.

If it sounds like she’s comparing feeding your kid healthy food to child rape, it’s because she’s comparing feeding your kid healthy food to child rape.

She went on to call dieting and diet culture to a “form of assault.”

“I experience diet culture as a form of assault because it impacts the way that I experience my body,” she said.

Listen lady: Being morbidly obese is unhealthy. Dieting can suck, but sometimes it’s necessary. Sometimes, it’s important to discipline ourselves and tell our flesh NO. Does eating Greek yogurt for dinner suck? YES. I’ve done it. But it sure as heck isn’t freaking ASSAULT, you moron.

Oh– it gets worse. She also managed to weave white supremacy into the conversation. Yes, really.

“…we’re gonna start by talking about how to politicize our definition of body image…because oftentimes we actually get stuck thinking of it from a white supremacist lens.”

HUH?

Wait. It gets weirder.

“I do not think it’s surprising that the man who shot up Christchurch, New Zealand, was also a fitness instructor,” Rashatwar said.

WTH???

Wait. NAZIS!

“Nazis really love this idea of an idealized body, and so it makes a lot of sense to me that a fitness instructor . . . might also think about an idealized body in this thin white supremacist way,” she said.

I’ve…got nothing.

If you need me, I’ll be over here. Questioning everything.
