On Friday night, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes moderated a town hall-style event with none other than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It was basically designed to give her a giant platform to discuss her pathetic Green New Deal, which she urged her colleagues to NOT vote for.
Also, she kinda sorta made it sound like she wants to go to war with the weather, so that was neat.

As I said before, one was a deliberate attack. The other was a natural disaster. I don’t think it’s fair to compare the two. It’s more than apples and oranges. It’s potato salad and salsa.
Chris Hayes was so into it, though.
“What we have to do to avoid the most catastrophic effects of climate change is to cut emissions in half in 12 years,” Hayes said. “Twelve years. That’s the project we have been tasked with by the Earth. Now has come a bold new policy proposal that might be the most controversial thing in American politics at the moment. You’ve probably heard about it. It’s called the Green New Deal. Some people call it a socialist monster; some people call it our only hope for survival here in the way of life that we hold dear.”
“Our only hope for survival.” LOLOLOL.
Speaking of survival, how were MSNBC’s ratings that night? Lemme tell ya. Something happened. Tucker Carlson may or may have not overshadowed their doomsday fest. And by may or may have not, I mean he did…by over a million viewers.
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson had an audience of over a million more people than MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, who moderated a town hall with Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Friday night.
Carlson had an audience of 2,656,000 viewers with 420,000 in the key 25-54 age demographic, according to Nielsen Media Research. Comparatively, the Ocasio-Cortez town hall only had 1,568,000 viewers, 232,000 of which were in the key demo.
By the way, Tucker has a scorching op-ed out on the town hall, and it’s fantastic. He calls AOC “more self-righteous than any televangelist who ever preached a sermon on cable access.”
Perfect description.
