Ladies. Imagine giving birth to your child, looking your sweet little bundle of joy in the eyes and saying, “Wow. Finally. I’ve always wanted to be a father.”
Meet Wyley Simpson. He/she is a biological woman who identifies as a man. He/she had breast removal surgery but kept her reproductive ladyparts and was ultimately impregnated by his/her gay partner.
Stephan learned about Wyley’s female genitalia after the couple met on the gay dating app Grindr, and their relationship proceeded anyway — but the lingering question was, “Can Wyley become pregnant?”
The answer, the couple thought, was “no” due to Wyley’s testosterone treatments.
But then Wyley started experiencing “morning sickness” and then learned of the pregnancy at 11 weeks — a circumstance that “definitely was not planned,” Wyley said, adding that “I am a man, and I am actually pregnant.”
OK so first of all, this couple actually has the right parts, so it’s really not that weird, biologically speaking. It’s not a case of a pregnant man. It’s a woman who THINKS she’s a man getting knocked up. And even though her partner is “gay,” he’s technically dating a biological woman so…awk.
“I’ve always wanted to be a father,” Simpson told KENS. “And even though it happened this way, and wasn’t planned, I was just like, ‘Let’s do it.'”
“I was really unsure,” Gaeth said. “And then … it felt right, and it felt better as we talked about it. We did a lot of talking, a lot of preparing. We went to prenatal yoga together, we watched a lot of videos online, and figured out our birth plan together.”
So yeah. Some people are trying to act like this was some medical miracle or whatever, but it’s really just simple biology working the way it should.
