Ilhan Omar Wants Keith Ellison To Investigate USA Powerlifting For The Most Idiotic Reason Ever

Hannah Bleau

We warned everyone. We said “If Democrats get control of the House, expect tons and tons of completely pointless and totally idiotic investigations.”

We called it.

Anti-Israel Rep. Ilhan Omar wants Minnesota AG Keith Ellison (perhaps you’ve heard of him *rolls eyes*) to “investigate USA Powerlifting for barring biological males from women’s events.”

That’s what she’s worried about. How dare USA Powerlifting prevent BIOLOGICAL MEN from competing against ladies. They DO NOT HAVE PHYSICAL ADVANTAGES, OK? That’s a myth! Omar actually called it a myth and wrote the letter to Ellison, asking him to “investigate this discriminatory behavior.”

Omar sent her letter on behalf of JayCee Cooper, a biological male who identifies as a transgender woman, and whom Omar identified as one of her constituents. She signed the letter on Jan. 31, though it only became public on Tuesday after Cooper posted a picture to Instagram, where it caught the attention of OutSports.

In the past, the weightlifting association indicated that biological males have “higher bone density, stronger connective tissue and higher muscle density than women,” which is FACT. Odd that the so-called “party of science” is rejecting it.

“Under the Minnesota Human Rights Act, discrimination against anyone based on their gender identity is illegal. This includes in public accommodations, and in Minnesota, organizations such as USA Powerlifting,” Omar wrote. “In fact, just last month a Minnesota jury awarded Ms. Christina Ginther $20,000 after the Independent Women’s Football League refused to allow her to participate because she is transgender.”

“I urge you to reconsider this discriminatory, unscientific policy and follow the example of the International Olympic Committee,” she continued. “The myth that trans women have a ‘direct competitive advantage’ is not supported by medical science, and it continues to stoke fear and violence against one of the most at-risk communities in the world.”

BS. Stop rejecting FACT. This is just insane. Stop being anti-science.
