HI Y’ALL! Daisy and I have been on an extended vacay since December 21. Hopefully someone has noticed. 🙂
Anyway, we’re back on the airwaves this morning at 9am ET on 93WIBC! We are busying ourselves making plans for world domination this year, and hope to be doing more videos, more sound, more EVERYTHING to keep you informed and entertained. After all, we’re going to be celebrating the 10th birthday of this site next month!
I just wanted to check in and say hi, because I’ve missed writing, and because I’m excited about being back in a daily routine. I have slept more over the past three weeks than I think I ever have, and it has been gooooood.
I also completely checked out of politics and world news for the first week and a half of our vacation, and that was also really good. And you know what I did when I was ready to get reconnected? I came to this very site and got caught up on the news from Hannah and Ashley, and HOLY CRAP you guys – I had almost forgotten how awesome they are.
CAN I PLEASE GET A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR HOW AWESOME OUR WRITERS ARE.
Anyway, I realized this morning that the Golden Globes were on last night, and I completely missed them because I was watching Birdbox, because I kept hearing hype about Birdbox and needed to see what all the fuss was about. Have you guys watched it yet? Get this – my husband and I watched a Quiet Place on Saturday night – the movie about how you have to be totally silent in order to not get brutally slaughtered by mysterious creatures, and then Birdbox on Sunday night – the movie about how you have to be completely sightless in order to not get brutally slaughtered by yourself. That wasn’t even on purpose. It just happened. We are now on the hunt for a movie about how you have to have no sense of smell in order to not get brutally slaughtered by someone. Let me know if you know of one.
I got caught up on the Globes this morning, and saw that Christian Bale is a huge, elitist sh*t goblin. I suppose that’s no surprise, really, but DAYUM. It was nice to read that Trump wasn’t mentioned, and that the hosts stayed apolitical. It almost made me feel like I should have watched, but I’m also glad I didn’t.
I haven’t seen Daisy since the 21st, except via Facetime, and so I’m planning a full-scale hug assault when she gets to the office this morning. I hope y’all tune into the show today, and happily our podcasts are up and running again, so if you miss it this morning, you can catch up at your convenience via WIBC or iTunes.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
