So, I’m preparing our radio lineup for tomorrow, and I come across this doozy of a story. It’s about a woman in Ohio who was at an event called “Holy Ground: Blessing the Sacred Space of Decision” that took place at a Planned Parenthood in Ohio. The event was described as follows:
During this clinic blessing, participants will gather with local faith leaders and guests to ask for God’s blessing upon Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio’s East Columbus Surgical facility, the abortion providers and staff, and all those who pass through the center.
In celebration of conscience and moral decision making, this event will include interfaith blessings, prayers, and testimonies about receiving and providing abortion care. This clinic blessing will create space for progressive voices of faith to speak boldly in support of comprehensive reproductive health care, especially abortion.
This chick gets up on stage and “claims she saw a vision of her baby singing her a lullaby moments before aborting it. She recently sang that ‘lullaby’ while speaking at a ‘blessing’ of an abortion clinic.”
Good Lord. Give me all the strength with this one.
Because here’s the thing. First of all, the “lullaby” she speaks of is a Beatles song. And not only does she say that her baby’s spirit sang it to her to tell her that, you know, her Mom TAKING HER LIFE was completely fiiiine and all, but this Beatles song is somehow her baby’s lullaby to her. You know, from the great beyond. Or just on the next side of that thin veil (you’ll hear about in the video below). Or something.
No, chick. NO IT IS NOT.
This whole scene creeps me out, and these women make my skin crawl. And listen, I know I’m supposed to be a compassionate Christian woman here, but I find myself practically dry-heaving over how much wrong is on that stage.
Experience the wack coming in hot from Ohio, y’all:
That’s right. That was a woman who decided to dispose of her own child, and now – to somehow rationalize it – she’s singing The Beatles’ “I Will” and trying to pass it off as said child’s “forgiveness” lullaby.
This is our world now. And you know who else was at this shindig? “Several clergy members” who have been “called upon to “bless” the clinic and “protect its submission.”
I’ll wait over here while anyone else with an Actual Brain and Conscience gets the dry-heaves. Because I wasn’t aware that people of God were in the business of blessing baby-murders these days. In fact, y’all remind me to stay as far the heck away from those churches and the people who bless those types of decisions as I possibly can, will ya? Because last I checked, while God is in the business of forgiveness, He simply doesn’t advocate murdering babies.
