According to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s latest memo, he’s recommending no prison time for Michael Flynn, because Flynn provided what Mueller’s calling “substantial assistance.”
“Given the defendant’s substantial assistance and other considerations set forth below, a sentence at the low end of the guideline range, including a sentence that does not impose a term of incarceration – is appropriate and warranted,” Mueller stated in the memo.
Rudy Giuliani responded to the report and said there’s no evidence of Trump/Russia collusion in the memo.
President Trump’s attorney Rudolph Giuliani told Fox News on Tuesday night that former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn had admitted to offenses comparable to “spitting on the sidewalk” after Special Counsel Robert Mueller recommended minimal prison time for the former three-star Army general.
In response, Giuliani told Fox News that nothing in the sentencing memo suggested collusion between Trump and Russian officials. The former New York City mayor lambasted the Mueller team as “overzealous media-inspired prosecutors.”
“They are sick puppies,” said Giuliani, who added: “This whole thing started as an orchestrated attempt to take the president out of office as an insurance policy.”
Reactions are all over the place:
I maintain that people on the left won’t be happy with Flynn’s cooperation.

.@realDonaldTrump is finally going down
Well… that's what the Left is howling
They say #Flynn gave #Mueller the goods
Flynn's troubles were about his business dealings w/ Turkey
Not any collusion he did for the Admin w/ Russia pic.twitter.com/jN8DwYxKGa

Perhaps it is because I have spent so much of my life studying national security advisors, but I can't minimize my contempt for Mike Flynn nor my outrage at his behavior–regardless of his cooperation with Mueller.

If I ran a TVnews org,I would not permit any an anchor or correspondent say anything about Mueller/Flynn sentencing memo w/out reminding audience that much is redacted/blacked out and that the full content is unknown and that much is specualated/guessed about at this point
