It’s the 5th anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing today, and if you’ve been a COTR reader since then, you may recall that we were contacted by one of the survivors, Michelle, shortly after she was discharged from the hospital. She had ordered a COTR shirt before the marathon, and decided she wanted to wear it on the day of her hospital release. It remains one of my most favorite pictures ever.
You can read the email she sent us then, as well as the follow up to her story at the sourcelink. She and I are Facebook friends, and I’ve absolutely loved watching her become a mom, and watching her darling little boy grow.
Since the bombing, Michelle has dedicated herself to helping other terror attack victims. She’s such an inspiration. And she was just featured in a special anniversary video from One Boston Day, which the City of Boston posted on YouTube today. And you’ll see for yourself how absolutely PRECIOUS she is in every way. I love that the photo of her wearing her COTR shirt is featured in the video as well!
