Debbie Wasserman Schultz And Keith Ellison Refused To Stand Or Clap During Standing Ovation For Widow Of Slain Navy SEAL

As we’ve said time and time again, the most powerful moment of President Trump’s address was when he honored Carryn Owens, the widow of a U.S. Navy Special Operator, Senior Chief William “Ryan” Owens.

It was amazing to have the country honor him and his family in such a special way. He died protecting the country and people he loved, and his sacrifice will NEVER be forgotten. Carryn was the picture of class, grace and courage, and she and her husband received a two minute standing ovation. It’s almost impossible to watch the entire thing through without crying your eyes out.

Unfortunately, some Democrats present chose not to stand or clap. Because #Resist. Even though it makes absolutely NO SENSE to resist honoring the widow of a fallen hero. Some things transcend politics.

The two Democratic lawmakers who sat on their hands? None other than Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Keith Ellison. Look at these classless tools.

They didn’t clap for fixing Obamacare? Fine. They didn’t clap for securing our borders? Fine. They didn’t clap for protecting our country against radical Islamic terrorism? Fine. But refusing to clap for Owens’ sacrifice? That’s inexcusable.

Update: Apparently, Snopes has decided that this story isn’t true, despite the common consensus among a bunch of media outlets– The Blaze, Twitchy, Free Beacon, the Daily Wire, you name it. The consensus seems to be that DWS and Ellison stood for the Owens’ intro, but not the long applause.
