Chili’s In Two States Offers To Donate Profits To Planned Parenthood

Hannah Bleau

Trying to figure out which restaurant to go to tonight and can’t seem to narrow it down? Let me help! Go ahead and scratch Chili’s off the list. Don’t worry– I have a good reason.

According to this,  Chili’s restaurants in Kentucky and Indiana are running a promotion, offering to donate 15% of your meal purchase to Planned Parenthood. All you have to do is print off the voucher and bring it to one of the participating locations. The promotion is expected to run through March.

Here’s a closer look at the voucher–

This isn’t the first time Chili’s has tried to give Planned Parenthood a helping hand either. A few years back, a Chili’s restaurant in California (of course) tried to hold a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood, but it was promptly canceled after a number of pro-life customers issued complaints.

According to a spokesperson for Chili’s parent company, Brinker International, Inc., “The event was canceled after hearing growing concerns from our guests.” Management of the Natomas Chili’s received numerous calls, as the Sacramento community expressed concerns about Chili’s restaurant donating money to Planned Parenthood, which performs over 330,000 abortions every year.

You should know, the Chili’s Truxel Road location still donated $200 to Planned Parenthood for canceling the event at the last minute. So thoughtful of them.

So yeah. Think twice about going to Chili’s. It’s not too hard for me. There are so many local restaurants that are so much better than anything Chili’s has to offer.

Update: Even though I mentioned this above, I’m going to mention it again. This promotion ONLY APPLIES TO SELECT CHILI’S FRANCHISES IN KENTUCKY AND INDIANA. I repeat, it ONLY APPLIES TO SELECT CHILI’S FRANCHISES IN KENTUCKY AND INDIANA.

I’m glad we cleared that up.
