Netanyahu Aide: Obama Administration Pushed Anti-Israel U.N. Resolution

Hannah Bleau

On Friday, the United Nations voted to condemn Israeli settlements. The United States has veto power and could’ve vetoed the bogus resolution, but we didn’t. We stood by and allowed the U.N. to bully one of our greatest allies. We abstained from the vote.

In reaction, Benjamin Netanyahu released the following statement:

It only gets worse. Israeli officials have reason to believe that the Obama administration played a large role in pushing this resolution. As in, they were actively working against Israel. I know I shouldn’t be shocked (this is the Obama administration we’re talking about. Obama and his minions try to undermine Israel at every turn), but I am.

David Keys, a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, told CNN’s Dana Bash that the Israelis have “ironclad information, frankly, that the Obama administration really helped this resolution and helped craft it, from sources internationally and sources in the Arab world.”

Keys also said the resolution is “shameful and actually pushes peace farther away.” They’re calling it a “last minute jab” from the Obama administration, which is an accurate description. Obama’s been doing a lot of last minute jabs lately.

Add this to the long list of reasons I’m counting down until January 20.
