Ted Cruz Releases New TV Ad On Illegal Immigration, And It’s Pretty Unique

This isn’t your typical “we need to secure the border and put Americans first” illegal immigration ad. No. It’s so different and borderline bizarre that I found myself engaged the entire time. (It was only 60 seconds, but hey. I’m a millennial.)

The entire ad is based off of a soundbite from the Fox Business debate.

“I can tell you, for millions of Americans at home watching this, it is a very personal economic issue,” Cruz said during the debate. “And, I will say the politics of it will be very, very different if a bunch of lawyers or bankers were crossing the Rio Grande. Or if a bunch of people with journalism degrees were coming over and driving down the wages in the press.”

“Then, we would see stories about the economic calamity that is befalling our nation,” he continued. “And, I will say — for those of us who believe people ought to come to this country legally, and we should enforce the law — we’re tired of being told it’s anti-immigrant. It’s offensive.”
