Macron INSULTS President Trump During Speech…Right In Front Of Him

President Trump is currently in France. Some say his visit is off to a “rocky” start.

After initially landing in France, Trump tweeted this:

President Macron of France has just suggested that Europe build its own military in order to protect itself from the U.S., China and Russia. Very insulting, but perhaps Europe should first pay its fair share of NATO, which the U.S. subsidizes greatly!

OOOOOOH boy. Yeah. Off to quite the start, I’d say.

At the start of the meeting, the pair seemed to gloss over whatever differences they may have on European military cooperation, saying they were aligned on burden sharing.

“We’re getting along from the standpoint of fairness, and I want to be fair. We want to help Europe, but it has to be fair,” Trump said. “Right now, the burden sharing has been largely on the United States as the President will say and he understands that. He understands the United States can only do so much.”

Apparently, they met and “cleared the air.”

Macron said his “proposals for European defense are consistent” with Trump’s views. Later, a French presidential spokesman said Macron was able to clear up the “misunderstanding” about his views on Europe’s defense policy during his meeting with Trump.

“I think this was a very good opportunity at least for the French President to clarify exactly what he meant, and at the end of today’s talks they stated that they had reached agreement on this whole question of the vision of the transatlantic alliance and European security,” the spokesman stated.

What REALLY happened? Macron, who always looks like a giddy school boy around Trump, probably caved in front of him and apologized. He’s *the* ultimate beta male.

Does that mean everything’s good? HA! Nope. We immediately jumped to the next controversy.

Trump was supposed to visit the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, but the trip was cancelled due to bad weather. Everyone flipped.

Wait. There’s more. Macron basically slapped Trump in the face during a speech at a ceremony commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI.

“Nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism,” Macron said. “By saying, ‘Our interests first, who cares about the others,’ we erase what a nation holds dearest, what gives it life, what gives it grace and what is essential: its moral values.”

How DARE he. America is the most compassionate and awesome nation in the history of the world. We always were and CONTINUE to be. Putting the well-being of American citizens FIRST doesn’t change that. Sorry that Marcon is too dense and weenie to understand that.

After Macron finished his remarks, Trump appeared to grimace while offering muted and delayed applause.

The White House had no immediate reaction to Macron’s ideological stand. But Trump will have his own platform to respond later on Sunday when he delivers remarks at an American cemetery outside of Paris for fallen soldiers in both world wars.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Trump’s speech “will focus on honoring the Americans who fought and died in World War One and our duty to remember the sacrifices of those that came before us.”

We’ll see if Trump incorporates a rebuttal in his speech…
