Can you imagine waking up and thinking, “It’s St. Patrick’s Day! There HAS to be information floating around out there about President Trump’s insensitivity toward the Irish. I’m going to find it and EXPOSE him!”?
I swear that’s how these people operate. That’s what NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell did, anyway. Look at her latest discovery!
St. Patrick’s Day note, @realDonaldTrump has used term “paddy wagon” considered a slur about Irish dating back to 1850s New York. Irish “Paddy’s”were rounded up for drunkenness in police vans. Others say it later referred to NY police, many Irish. (Speech July 28) pic.twitter.com/MbXZMwlrFC

OMG CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THAT? Aren’t you SO OFFENDED right now?
No? OK. You’re normal. I’m actually a decent part Irish (my grandfather on my mom’s side– TOTES Irish), and yeah…not offended.
It’s a pretty common term that anyone would use, even if it has bad roots.

Hey everyone. Let’s spend our #StPatricksDay reading through old @realDonaldTrump transcripts and highlighting the words that offend us!!
— Senator Blockchain (@SenBlockchain) March 17, 2018
See? Told you! These people actually do that.
This is something someone in the back of a paddy wagon would say.

Are you serious? Everybody says “paddy wagon.” If Obama said this, you wouldn’t think twice about it.

Omg lay off the sauce!! This is why the media is hated!
— Heidi (@reshas) March 17, 2018
You have become parody. It is ridiculous that you are this desperate to criticize the potus. I’m not even that big Trump fan but seeing morons like you in the media be petty makes me think he has a point about them. You should be ashamed to call yourself a journalist

This is embarrassing.

Well leave it to a blue check journo with an Irish last name to bring it up after all this time..because Trump🤦🏻♀️

I did a quick Google search on Irish pubs in the Southeastern United States and interestingly enough, they don’t seem to be offended either.
Hey Kelly– better luck next year?
