The reason I call it the “alphabet mafia” is because you can never really keep up with which letters you’re supposed to include (the alphabet) and they act as a mafia organization. Microsoft just dropped a new “pride flag” which they say is an expansion of the old one and now represents “40 LGBTQIA+ communities,” and even providing a feature for “everyone to use and build on” the design.
Inspired by the public's response to our 2022 Pride flag, we’re expanding our design to represent 40 LGBTQIA+ communities—and making it available for everyone to use and build on: https://t.co/YugwQGp7b6 pic.twitter.com/BfQbSmkkzP

When you follow the link to build on the design, you are routed to an explanation of this “Banner of Pride,” saying,
“Created by the LGBTQIA+ people at Microsoft, this flag represents 40 different individual LGBTQIA+ communities—with one powerful graphic that reflects a message of unity, solidarity and intersectionality. We’re making it available here on GitHub for everyone to use and build on. Because Pride should be open source.”
It then explains that it is “An Emblem of Unity,” saying,
“This flag combines 40 different flags from LGBTQIA+ communities around the world, including: Abrosexual, Aceflux, Agender, Ambiamorous, Androgynous, Aroace, Aroflux, Aromantic, Asexual, Bigender, Bisexual, Demifluid, Demigender, Demigirl, Demiromantic, Demisexual, Gay/MLM/Vinician, Genderfluid, Genderflux, Genderqueer, Gender questioning, Graysexual, Intersex, Lesbian, Maverique, Neutrois, Nonbinary, Omnisexual, Pangender, Pansexual, Polyamorous, Polysexual, Transgender, Trigender, Two Spirit, Progress Pride, Queer, Unlabeled.”
Is this truly the epitome of “extra?” I feel like it should come with a seizure warning like on some movies. If they wanted to turn it into a completely over-the-top joke that really can’t be taken seriously, they totally succeeded.

I feel like I should be trying to find the hidden picture in that flag, like the old 3D images, rather than some deeper meaning. Or did someone’s graphic design program go on the fritz right before the deadline and this was their attempt at passing the mess off as a ‘flag?’
Is there any flags for those of us who are celibate, for virgins and even “straight” pride?
Yep, it has a blue field with 50 white stars and 13 alternating red and white stripes.
Well considering Microsoft is the company founded by Bill Gates. I’m not surprised it’s EXTREMELY woke.
Okay, I have to admit that I first read “Aromantic” as “aromatic” and stopped to wonder what kind of gender/sexual preference could be described as being smelly…
