Lena Dunham appeared on the “Today” show Friday morning to discuss the last season of her terrible show, “Girls.” It only took a few seconds for the discussion to go off the rails.
“You saw a penis, right?” Dunham asked Maria Shriver.
Shriver was completely taken off guard. I mean, holy inappropriate. Then again, Shriver was talking about the show “Girls.” It’s incredibly raunchy. She should’ve anticipated this.
“Yeah, well, I saw more than that,” Shriver said. “You caught me there for as second. I’m not sure if you’re allowed to say that on television. Matt, help! She just threw me off.”
Dunham apologized and Shriver was all, “That’s OK. That’s OK. See? That’s the difference in generations. I wasn’t brought up talking like that.”
It physically pains me that Dunham represents the “difference in generations.”
After that, Dunham proceeded to say “penis” again on live TV, because Lena Dunham.
“Wait a minute,” Shriver said. “You’re still on the air. Sit down. Matt, are you supposed to be saying something?”
Prepare for the most awkward minute ever.

If the most interesting thing about your show is a penis, you really need a new show. Just sayin’.
