The third – and, mercifully, final – presidential debate is this Wednesday at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. I have no expectations one way or the other for this debate. I figure it’s going to be a trainwreck, just like all the others (with the possible exception of the VP debate. Watching that was like a cool drink of water after wandering in the scorching hot desert for months).
Donald Trump made waves by inviting some of Bill Clinton’s rape and sexual assault victims to the last debate. This time, he’s going after Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi scandal by inviting Patricia Smith, the outspoken mother of Sean Smith, who was killed because of Hillary’s negligence over the Benghazi attack.
Not gonna lie – I like this move a little bit more than inviting Bill’s victims to sit on the front row. And I liked that one very much –
Donald Trump invited the mother of a Benghazi victim to sit in a prominent position at the next debate.
Pat Smith, the mother of a State Department IT consultant who was killed in the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attacks, is planning to accept the Republican nominee’s invitation to the debate, which will be held Wednesday night in Las Vegas.
During a Monday interview at her home in San Diego, Smith told Yahoo News that the Trump campaign reached out to her earlier that day and invited her to the debate. The Trump campaign confirmed the invitation.
“I think I’m going to be in the front row. But I’m not sure,” said Smith.
I sure hope she’s in the front row!
Some might say that Pat Smith is being used as a political prop – mostly people on the left who think Hillary is this perfect angel who can do no wrong (I’ll give you a moment to laugh your head off at that though). That is utter and complete bullcrap. For starters, Hillary lied to this mother’s face about her son’s death. She said he died because of a stupid video, when that was NOT the case at all. Hillary never faced consequences for her actions, just screamed in front of a Congressional committee “What difference does it make?” and was allowed to skip along her merry way to run for president. Meanwhile, the Smith family – and all the other families whose loved ones died in Benghazi – are left to pick up the pieces and wonder why their government leaders lied to them. These are families who TRUSTED these leaders to do what’s right for their loved ones in harm’s way – to do everything they can to bring these men and women home safely. And they bungled it up BIG TIME.
Oh, and because it was one of the best parts of the Republican National Convention, here’s Patricia Smith’s speech from the RNC –

If Hillary Clinton can’t be bothered to tell the truth to the people who are most deserving of it – the families of soldiers, military contractors, and even ambassadors – how can we expect her to be bothered to be honest with the rest of us? THAT’S the biggest question mark of this issue.
Kudos to Trump for inviting Patricia Smith to the debate. I wonder if Hillary will dare look her in the eye.
