Sen. John McCain recently told the world one of his biggest regrets: Choosing Sarah Palin as a running mate.
Ouchhhhhhhhhhh.
I guess it was a gut-punch to Palin, who said McCain has said otherwise in private.
“That’s not what Sen. McCain has told me all these years, as he’s apologized to me repeatedly for the people who ran his campaign – some who now staff MSNBC, the newsroom there, which tells you a lot,” Palin said.
She said she’s not sure if those “regrets” are truly coming from McCain himself anyway.
“I attribute a lot of what we’re hearing and reading regarding McCain’s statements to his ghostwriter or ghostwriters,” she stated.
“I don’t know all the details of his condition right now. It happens to me also where people speak for me and a bell is rung, and you can’t un-ring the bell,” she added. “I don’t know unless I heard it from Sen. McCain myself.”
It’s still hurtful, but Palin is refusing to bash McCain, which is incredibly classy of her.
“I will never disparage someone who has served our country and made a lot of sacrifices as a vet now. And that’s how I look at him—as someone who served all those years,” she said.

I don’t like Palin. At all. But this was a great, candid, appropriate response.

Wished @SenJohnMcCain has shown as much class to others as @SarahPalinUSA has to him.
