Since President Trump and the GOP passed tax cuts, companies have been announcing bonuses galore.
AT&T gave a $1,000 bonus to over 200,000 employees, thanks to the Republican tax cuts.
Wells Fargo said it was boosting its minimum wage to $15, thanks to the Republican tax cuts.
Fifth Third Bancorp said it would give over $13,500 employees a bonus in addition to raising the minimum wage to $15, thanks to the Republican tax cuts.
Southwest and American Airlines promised a $1,000 bonus to employees, thanks to the Republican tax cuts.
Disney said it was giving 125,000 employees a $1,000 bonus, thanks to the Republican tax cuts.
Hostess Brands announced it’s handing out a $1,250 bonus to over 1,000 hourly employees AND giving out delicious free snacks, thanks to the Republican tax cuts.
Lowe’s is handing out bonuses of up to $1,000 to 260,000 employees, thanks to the Republican tax cuts.
UPS has announced more than $12 billion in investments, thanks to the Republican tax cuts.
Best Buy is handing out a $1,000 bonus to full-time employees and a $500 bonus to part-time employees, thanks to the Republican tax cuts.
According to a tally by Americans for Tax Reform, 346 companies have given workers bonuses or raises or increased contributions to employees’ 401(k). Those companies include AT&T, which gave $1,000 bonuses to 200,000 employees; automaker Fiat Chrysler, which gave at least 60,000 workers bonuses worth up to $2,000; and moving company U-Haul, where more than 28,000 full and part-time employees received bonuses ranging from $500 to $1,200.
I think you get the idea.
Nancy Pelosi has responded to the flurry of great news by dismissing the bonuses as “crumbs.”
This is a devastating and incredible gaffe from Nancy Pelosi that will likely fuel many Democrats’ concerns that she is killing her party’s efforts to appeal to working class voters again. pic.twitter.com/CfuBuT6x6f

I don’t know about you guys, but a $1,000 bonus isn’t “crumbs” in my world. That’s a few car payments. Carts full of groceries. A few tanks of gas. Heck, even a mortgage payment.
Of course $1k- $2k is crumbs to Pelosi. She’s an out of touch millionaire. Trump may be loaded, but even he recognizes that $1,000 goes a long way for average Americans. You’d have to be stupid or ignorant to suggest otherwise. Take your pick, Pelosi.
That brings me to this. Republican Rep. Todd Rokita has introduced new, awesome legislation called the “Creating Relief and Useful Middle-Class Benefits and Savings” Act. It’s been dubbed the “CRUMBS Act.” It would “make bonuses received by workers in 2018 tax-free up to $2,500.”

“Americans are receiving thousands of dollars in bonuses and more money in their paychecks thanks to President Trump’s tax reform, but out-of-touch Democratic leaders believe they only amount to crumbs,” Rokita said. “The CRUMBS Act will let Americans keep more of the money they receive as a result of President Trump’s tax reform, and allow them, not the government, to choose how best to spend their bonuses.”
Love the proposal. Love the title. I love it all. I bet Pelosi HATES it.
