February 11, 2018I just want to watch sports. I don’t want any kind of stupid social justice narrative, which is why I’ve been trying to avoid this entire storyline like the plague. Their ridiculous narrative doesn’t deserve the time of day. Play your sport and shut up.
Unfortunately, these two gay athletes can’t stop talking about how gay they are, and they want everyone to know that they DO NOT LIKE Vice President Mike Pence, because he supposedly “attacked” the LGBT community when he was governor of Indiana.

Here’s the thing: I don’t care that they’re gay. What bothers me the most, you ask? The fact that they have more of a desire to be known as GAY athletes than as amazing AMERICAN athletes competing in the Olympics.

It’s sad. I actually didn’t know what they competed in until after, because they talk more about their sexual orientation than their actual sport.
That’s the problem I have.
Anyway, there were rumors going around that Rippon refused to meet with Pence ahead of the Olympics.
Rippon’s mother provided this explanation:
“I believe that you can say it many different ways. I don’t think he ever said ‘I refuse to do that,’ because that suggests a tone of intolerance and inflexibility,” Kelly Rippon said on CNN’s “New Day.”
“He conveyed to whomever, I don’t know the individuals, that any kind of communication would have to be done after the competition is over,” she added.
So….he did refuse to meet with him. Thanks for clearing that up, Adam’s mom.
The fact remains. Pence has been nothing but supportive.

That’s what you call taking the HIGH road. What’s Pence’s big unforgivable offense? Believing that marriage is between a man and a woman? BIG FREAKING DEAL. That’s not oppressive. That’s how I feel too. I don’t believe gay people are any less human. I don’t think I’m better than them. I don’t think they’re entitled to any less than I am. I just believe marriage is between a man and a woman, and Pence feels the same way.
I fail to see how that’s homophobic. There are lovely, kind gay people and awful, obnoxious gay people, just as there are lovely, kind straight people and awful, obnoxious straight people. If you suck, you suck. I don’t discriminate.
You can disagree with a lifestyle and still love and care for the individual. Clearly, Gus is having a difficult time understanding that, because he’s continuing to send obnoxious messages to Pence.
Olympic Gaymes? Eat your heart out? Seriously dude? Pence is cheering you on. We all are. Keep acting like an intolerant d*ck and we won’t anymore.
And before you call me homophobic, I’d have the same reaction to a whiny straight lib. Spare me the outrage.
That hashtag– #TeamUSGay– says it all. They care more about being known for being gay than being known for being the absolutely BEST in their sport.
It’s pretty sad, if you ask me.
