Meghan McCain UNLOADS On ‘Fire And Fury’ Author Michael Wolff

Michael Wolff– the author of the controversial tell-all book “Fire and Fury”– went on “The View” Wednesday. Believe it or not, it wasn’t a total lovefest. Meghan McCain let him HAVE it. She didn’t beat around the bush AT ALL.

“You know, Michael, your credibility is being questioned,” she stated.

He was all, “Let’s remember who my credibility is being questioned by,” and Meghan reminded him that there are MANY prominent figures questioning him. It’s not just Trump. She listed a flurry of people in epic fashion. It was beautiful.

“There are a lot of factual errors in here,” she continued.

This exchange was particularly spicy.

“Quite frankly, had you invited me to your house at any point before this book, I would have said ‘hell no, of course not.’” McCain said. “I don’t go to journalists’ house and start dishing about anything private … I’m just confused, were you friends with Steve Bannon and Roger Ailes beforehand and you were like, ‘come to my house for an off-the-record dinner’ and then you reported on it?”

“This was actually an off-the-record dinner,” Wolff said.

“This is why people hate journalists by the way; it’s why I don’t believe in the concept of ‘off-the-record,’ this right here,” she said.

Wolff defended his decision by basically saying that the “off-the-record died with the source.”

Uh-huh.

McCain didn’t stop there.

“This hits a special place for me because my family has been the subject of a book like this,” McCain explained. “Traditionally, in situations like this, it’s the disgruntled staffers who aren’t loyal to their principle who give interviews like this.”

DAAAAAAANG.

Good for her. He goes on National TV and tells America that he can't be trusted, off the record means nothing. I bet he has trouble getting any interviews or access to anyone going forward. This IS why no one trusts the media anymore.
