I’m torn on Rose McGowan.
On one hand she has RUTHLESSLY skewered and exposed Hollywood hypocrisy, so I give her a lot of credit for that. On the other… she took a bunch of hush money from Weinstein, and didn’t speak out for YEARS.
MANY other women were victimized in that time. How many could she have prevented if she spoke up sooner?
Anyway… she has something to say about the black-wearing celebrities… and I think she’s spot on.
Asia Argento reminded everyone that Rose WAS in fact the first to speak out… Interesting that celebrities threw a party showing off how much they “Stand by victims” …. and didn’t invite them to come.
No one should forget that you were the first one who broke the silence. Anyone who tries to diminish your work is a troll and an enemy of the movement. You gave me the courage to speak out. I am on your side until I die.

Not really! I’m pretty sure I brought this info Fwd in my 2013 NYTimes best selling book COREYOGRAPHY. But b4 that Haim & I broached the subject on National TV in 2007. So Y was I ignored 2Nite? Do U C the hypocrisy here? Hollywood taking a stand in unity, when I wasn’t invited?

A lil’ awkward there… but yes. He’s been there all along, too… and he NEVER took hush money!
Don’t worry, I wasn’t invited either.
— Asia Argento (@AsiaArgento) January 8, 2018
No we weren’t invited. Annabella ,Daryl ,Mira none of us were .
— Rosanna Arquette (@RoArquette) January 8, 2018
OF COURSE NOT.
THIS WASN’T ABOUT THE VICTIMS, DUH. THIS WAS ABOUT VIRTUE SIGNALING WITH PRETTY DRESSES ON.
Aaaaand then Rose lets them HAVE IT.
And not one of those fancy people wearing black to honor our rapes would have lifted a finger had it not been so. I have no time for Hollywood fakery, but you I love, .@AsiaArgento #RoseArmy https://t.co/9e0938y5sI

She’s exactly right….
You think ANY of the people would actually do anything about it? The vast majority of them knew all along. Wearing a black dress doesn’t change that.
Look who has arrived! Meryl Streep supports the Black Dress Movement at the 75th annual Golden Globe Awards @goldenglobes #GoldenGlobes #GoldenGlobes2018 #MerylStreep pic.twitter.com/JBSCSLxMMo

Did anyone catch if this was the black dress Meryl Streep is wearing to the #GoldenGlobes tonight?
