Canadian Elementary School Teachers Attend ‘LGGBDTTTIQQAAPP Inclusiveness Training’ Session

I remember when it used to just be “LGBT.” Then society decided to add a “Q” to the end of it, because you can’t leave out those who don’t necessarily fit in with the existing letters! Duh. Then society decided there were actually more than two genders and scores of sexual orientations, and things got really weird. I can’t even keep track of the letters they’re adding to LGBT. I mean, what the heck is this?

Over the summer, the Canadian Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario hosted “a LGGBDTTTIQQAAPP inclusiveness training” session.

Any guesses what LGGBDTTTIQQAAPP stands for? No? Congrats. You’re a normal human being.

According to Daily Mail, it stands for *clears throat* “Lesbian, Gay, Genderqueer, Bisexual, Demisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Twospirit, Intersex, Queer, Questioning, Asexual, Allies, Pansexual and Polyamorous.”

I know you might be unfamiliar with some of those terms, so let me help you out.

A “demisexual” is someone who “does not experience sexual attraction unless they form a strong emotional connection with someone. It’s more commonly seen in but by no means confined to romantic relationships. The term demisexual comes from the orientation being “halfway between” sexual and asexual.”

A “twospirit” is someone who “has both a masculine and a feminine spirit, and is used by some First Nations people to describe their sexual, gender and/or spiritual identity.”

A pansexual is someone who feels like “they are sexually/emotionally/spiritually capable of falling in love with all genders.”

Those are probably the three most confusing.

But yeah. This is A Thing teachers in Canada were trained in. They’re now equipped to teach the best and brightest.
