Man Could Win Settlement From Pizza Hut After Causing The Death Of An Unborn Baby. Yes. You Read That Correctly.

This is the most f*cked up story I’ve heard all week, and as you’re well aware, we hear a lot of f*cked up stories.

According to the sourcelink, the creepy dude pictured above, David Pike (age 20) had been smoking weed while working his shift at Pizza Hut in Shelbyville, IN in May of 2015, when he decided to get into his car with his pregnant girlfriend, and pull out in front of another vehicle.  The cars collided, and Pike’s girlfriend had to be flown to Indianapolis where her unborn baby died as a result of injuries suffered during the car crash.

He was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Causing Serious Bodily Injury, a Level 6 Felony, and Operating A Vehicle With A Schedule I or II Controlled Substance In His Body Resulting In Serious Bodily Injury, a Level 6 Felony, and he’s getting sentenced on December 20th.  He could potentially be looking at two and a half years in jail.

But here’s where things get completely twisted.

Since the incident, Pike moved to Colorado, and married the girlfriend whose baby he was responsible for killing. She, meanwhile, filed a civil lawsuit against Pizza Hut claiming that Pizza Hut was responsible for her loser now-husband getting high and then getting behind the wheel of a car, which ultimately caused her injury and killed her unborn baby.

And since she’s married to that scumbag, if she wins, or receives a settlement, HE WILL BENEFIT FINANCIALLY from killing her baby.

Just let the absurdity of that sink in for a second.

There are problems to be fixed in our judicial system, and this is one of them.
