He doesn’t have a job. He disrespects those who serve and praises brutal dictators like Fidel Castro.
Oh yeah, that happened. Remember when he wore this shirt? It has a picture of Malcom X and Fidel Castro and reads, “Great minds think alike.”
This explanation followed:
“One thing that Fidel Castro did do is they have the highest literacy rate because they invest more in their education system than they do in their prison system, which we do not do here, even though we’re fully capable of doing that.”
At the time, a Miami Herald reporter who came from a family of Cuban exiles asked Kaepernick how he could defend Castro when he’s broken up so many families and oppressed so many people. Kaepernick’s response was nothing short of sickening.
“We do break up families here,” Kaepernick said. “That’s what mass incarceration is. That was the foundation of slavery, so our country has been based on that as well as the genocide of Native Americans.”
This guy is a POS. But according to GQ, he is a model citizen!

That’s right. Kaepernick is GQ’s Citizen of the Year. He’s such an inspiration.
Kaepernick, 30, did not speak to the magazine for an on-record interview but did pose for photographs and helped provide GQ with confidantes to offer “some rare insights into Colin Kaepernick himself.” He has not given an on-record interview during the entire 2017 NFL season despite still being at the center of one of the year’s biggest controversies.
This is why society is going down the drain. We glorify disrespectful punks like Kaepernick.
For sittin on the couch complaining about not having a job ? So manly !

He wears Castro shirts and pig socks and represents what, the millenial generation..there is no fashion statement,he is not even a role model..just a pandering statement from a magazine that has laid off half its employees looking for any attention at all …
— lance berger (@ltb1963) November 13, 2017
Exactly. GQ needed a boost, so it decided to stir the pot by honoring this undeserving jackweasel.
Things I learned today. @GQMagazine still exists. Well played GQ. Well played.
— Pork Chop Express (@JackBurtonNole) November 13, 2017
Thousands of citizen heroes rescue flood victims around Houston, and GQ picks an unemployed douche as citizen of the year.
— Federalist Musket (@Patriot_Musket) November 13, 2017
If Colin Kaepernick, the man who wore socks depicting cops as pigs, is GQ’s Citizen of the Year, then I am proudly and unabashedly NOT a GQ citizen.
— #ThePersistence (@ScottPresler) November 13, 2017
So now we glorify people who glorify Castro and call cops pigs. Also sue when no one wants them on their payroll. God help our youth
— Ben Leonard (@Coachleonard17) November 13, 2017
Anti-American scum Colin Kaepernick, who rails against a "police state" yet he supports real police state dictatorships like Cuba, is named GQ's "Citizen of the Year." What a joke.

Liberals are convinced we’re disgusted because Kaepernick is black. It has nothing to do with him being a terrible person. Nope! SKIN COLOR. That’s our true beef.
Racist White People right now when they see Kaepernick got Citizen of the Year for 2017 pic.twitter.com/JaJueNrISO
— D.T. (@Darlene26811165) November 13, 2017
Or we’re not glorifying the man but what he’s stood for .. you sir are white .. have you ever been a black man in this society?

Live look at racists after they saw Kaepernick got the GQ Citizen of the Year award for 2017. pic.twitter.com/Nxl5iyONfo

If you’re mad at Kaep for winning “Citizen of the Year” you should note that he sacrificed his fame, his money, and his future for staying true to something he strongly believes in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
— David Parra (@_Parrax7) November 13, 2017
SACRIFICE? Wearing socks depicting police officers as pigs is a selfless SACRIFICE?
People like Colin Kaepernick, who make a major sacrifice in order to stand up for equal rights, will NEVER be judged poorly in the chronicles of History.
GQ clearly understands this as they name him Citizen of the Year
— Brian Krassenstein🐬 (@krassenstein) November 13, 2017
These people are truly under the impression that Kaepernick is an American hero. Meanwhile, he kneels for TRUE American heroes.
GQ names Colin Kaepernick ‘Citizen of the Year’.
A citizen respects our nation and our flag.
A citizen wouldn’t wear socks depicting cops as ‘pigs’.
A citizen of the USA wouldn’t boldly wear clothes featuring communist dictator, Fidel Castro.
GQ is a disaster.
— GRANT J. KIDNEY 🇺🇸 (@GrantJKidney) November 13, 2017
Exactly. My disgust has nothing to do with his skin color and everything to do with his actions.
Do you want to be the next GQ Citizen of the Year?
1)Scream oppression as you collect millions of dollars.
2)Wear socks depicting police as pigs.
3)Kneel for the National Anthem disrespecting our military.
4)Destroy the ratings for the NFL.
5)Divide the country and ruin a sport.
— PolitiDiva™ (@realPolitiDiva) November 13, 2017
Bam. It’s that easy.
GQ– You’re garbage.
