A restaurant in Texas has everyone’s panties twisted because of their new restroom doors.
…I think they’re HILARIOUS.

HAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHA.
They’re calling him a woman though, right? That’s generous! Why are people offended? They’re saying trans people can use the women’s restroom! Isn’t that what they wanted?
So there’s a before and after picture of Bruce… Are we supposed to pretend we forgot who Bruce Jenner is? I mean… he was pretty famous.
A Texas restaurant has come under fire for its bathroom doors which use before-and-after transition photographs of Caitlyn Jenner to signal the men’s and ladies’ rooms.
Dodie’s Place Cajun Bar & Grill in Allen, Texas, showed off its updated bathroom doors in a Facebook post in August.
‘Come meet our newest members of the Dodie’s crew, Caitlyn & Bruce! Stop in for our weekly specials, served all day!’, the restaurant said in a caption alongside the image.
The men’s bathroom door features a photograph of Bruce at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal and the women’s shows Caitlyn as she appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair in July 2015.
Many loyal customers praised the restaurant’s joke, calling it ‘creative’ and ‘hilarious’ however others failed to see the funny side.
They thought the signage was ‘offensive’, ‘disgusting’ and ‘insensitive’ to the trans community.
Airing their criticism on social media, some vowed to boycott the restaurant until it changed the doors.
Among them was Jess Herbst, the transgender mayor of New Hope, a town 12 miles away.
‘This is offensive to trans folks,’ she tweeted after being made aware of the doors.
OMG TAKE A JOKE.
NOPE….no can do.

The TRANSGENDER MAYOR of New Hope, TX, got all worked up about it:
Hey @DomDifurio New Hope is a great place for LGBTQ, I’ll make sure my citizens know how you feel.

Yes, they are offensive to trans folks
— Jess Herbst (@_JessHerbst) October 31, 2017
They are offensive, people!
So, why exactly is it offensive?
Displaying photos of a transgender persons appearance when they were suffering severe dysphoria. It’s rude, mean and heartless.

Turns out you’re not allowed to display photos of trans people before they transitioned….
Even in it’s a really famous photo because the person happens to be an olympic athlete. We’re just supposed to pretend that never happened, ok?
The only thing I have an issue with is that there’s no bathroom there for me…. By the looks of it, they have two men’s restrooms.
