FBI Director Comey Says They Have No Evidence To Support Trump’s Wiretapping Tweets

FBI Director Comey is testifying before the House Intelligence Committee today, and they’re focusing on three different subjects: Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election, Russia-Trump collusion and President Trump’s wiretapping claim.

But first, let’s backtrack. Ahead of the hearing, Trump went on a mini rant. (On Twitter, of course.)

Ranking Intelligence Committee member Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) responded. (Unsurprisingly, he doesn’t seem to like Trump.)

No votes were changed, buddy. Ask FBI Director Comey.

Moving on.

Schiff grilled Comey on Trump’s wiretapping tweet, and…yeah. Comey said he has no evidence to support the claims made in Trump’s tweets.

They also don’t have any evidence that the Obama administration asked the British to spy on Trump for them.

Meanwhile, Rep. Gowdy has been grilling Comey about the leaks and reporters who disseminated those leaks.

This is still far from over. Stay tuned.
